To provide training for competitive, tolerant and competent professionals with a high level of scientific religious culture and public consciousness, fundamental knowledge in the field of Islamic studies, who are able to formulate production tasks in a professional language and solve them with the help of modern technologies; who have an active citizenship based on the ideas of peace, goodness and justice. The educational program is aimed at training and strengthening the body of competitive Islamic scholars-undergraduates with modern elite higher education, instilling in them the achievements of human culture and spiritual and moral values and raising the level of their conscious participation in the creation and strengthening of multi-confessional kazakhstani society.
1) explain the nature and specificity of Islamic studies and assess religious and Islamic phenomena, as well as substantiate the role of Islamic studies in modern integration processes;
2) to design various situations for the application of professional skills using the concept of world and Kazakh Islamic studies, to know their main representatives, schools and directions;
3) formulate and solve problems arising in the course of research activities;
4) compare the general and specific features in religious concepts of both antiquity and modernity, as well as formulate the main paradigms of Islamic teaching;
5) review Islamic studies, religious studies, philosophical, socio-political and scientific literature on the basis of a scientific analysis of trends in the social, economic, spiritual and cultural development of society;
6) evaluate from the standpoint of academic Islamic studies the phenomenon of Islamic experience in various national traditions;
7) create educational and research projects in the field of teaching methods of Islamic studies, the history of Kazakh and foreign Islamic studies;
8) review and submit materials about Islam to the media, government organizations of various profiles, public organizations, commercial and non-commercial structures.
