High-quality training of specialists who are able to solve organizational, managerial and research problems in the field of foreign economic activity of enterprises (organizations) of the real and financial sector, state bodies regulating foreign economic relations of Kazakhstan. The program is aimed at training international economists who speak foreign languages and are able to navigate a wide range of theoretical and practical problems associated with dynamic changes in the modern world economy.
Upon completion of this educational program, students are expected to be able to:
ON1 Search, analyze, summarize economic and statistical information from domestic and international sources and apply it to solve practical problems in the professional field.
ON2 Analyze and assess the level of socio-economic development of the countries of the world, develop proposals for the development of international economic cooperation of Kazakhstan and ways for business companies to enter world markets.
ON3 Prepare analytical reviews, inquiries and presentations on specific issues related to the study of world experience in solving economic problems at the macro and micro levels.
ON4 To apply in the field of international economic cooperation the norms of national legislation and the rules of Kazakhstan’s participation in international economic organizations and integration unions.
ON5 To distinguish between forms and methods of conducting international payments, types of international operations of banks, exchange rate regimes and apply the norms of the currency legislation of Kazakhstan.
ON6 Analyze, calculate and plan the economic and financial performance of enterprises (organizations), own an accounting methodology.
ON7 Apply mathematical and statistical techniques for analyzing and calculating various indicators in professional activities as an economist.
ON8 Master the techniques of international management and marketing. Work with standard documents of foreign trade transactions, participate in negotiations with foreign partners and drafting contracts on foreign trade transactions.
ON9 To distinguish between the types of international transport and logistics operations, the accompanying documents related to their conduct, the rules of customs and tariff regulation.
ON10 To be proficient in oral and written English and a second foreign language on a professional level, to apply them in practice.
ON11 Use modern information and communication technologies to search for information, calculate the necessary data, compile reports and working papers, conduct business correspondence, etc.
ON12 Comply with ethical standards of communication take into consideration intercultural differences between representatives of different countries of the world, effectively cooperate in the work process. Be able to independently expand and deepen professional knowledge and skills.
