On December 18, 2025, the Bishkek branch of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (NAO), in cooperation with the Department of Oriental Studies and Social Sciences of the International University of the Kyrgyz Republic, hosted an international student scientific and practical conference entitled:
“Central Asia and the East: Points of Intersection in Politics, Economics, and Culture.”

The conference brought together students, master’s students, doctoral candidates, and young researchers from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and other countries. The event was held in both in-person and online formats, ensuring broad international and interuniversity dialogue.

During the plenary session, welcoming remarks were delivered by the university leadership of KazNU, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and members of the expert community.

The conference activities were organized into three sections, covering the following key areas:
▪️ international relations and security
▪️ economics, governance, and digitalization
▪️ culture, humanitarian cooperation, and intercultural dialogue

Following the conference, it was noted that such academic events contribute to the development of academic mobility, the strengthening of scientific ties among universities in the region, and the formation of research and analytical competencies among students.

As a result of the conference, participants were awarded certificates and diplomas of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degrees.

The conference served as an important platform for scientific dialogue, exchange of ideas, and the development of research competencies among student youth.
